The Southern Bicycle League presents the 38th Annual
|
About the Wilson 100: The Wilson 100 is named after Scott Wilson, one of the past Presidents who made tremendous contributions to improving cycling in the Atlanta area. He died in his late 30’s of cancer. Optional donations in honor of Scott Wilson are focused in two areas, the Southern Bicycle League’s Advocacy Fund and The Georgia Chapter of the Leukemia Society. The SBL Advocacy Fund helps promote and provide better cycling and transportation alternatives in Metro Atlanta. A portion of the Wilson 100 profits are designated to a charitable non-profit (501C3) organization, with this year's beneficiary being The Georgia Chapter of the Leukemia Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. LLS's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since the first funding in 1954, LLS has awarded more than $680 million in research funding. |
