|
A message from the Wilson 100 Director, Mark Wyan: Here are some brief but important details to remember about this year's Wilson 100: Travel & Parking: If your commuting south through the City, please remember the downtown construction and plan accordingly. We recommend participants arrive early to allow ample time for parking, registration, and preparation. We have secured additional parking adjacent to the school, but overflow parking will be at Senoia Raceway across the street (if absolutely necessary). In an effort to raise additional funds for Project Adventure Kids, we will have a small number of premium parking spots up front near the EXPO and Registration Tables for $20. This is totally optional, however 100% of proceeds will go to Project Adventure Kids. Look for the Signs "PAK ; VIP Parking $20". If you have bike or mechanical issues, Atlanta Cycling (www.AtlantaCycling.com) will be providing all mechanical support and adjustments during registration from 7:00 to 9:00. EXPO: Remember this years Wilson 100 includes a Vendor Expo from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm *FREE* to all participants! Although this might not incorporate 100% of all riders, anybody finishing their ride before 3:00pm is encouraged to attend. The EXPO will incorporate a D.J. spinning music, multiple sponsors, vendors, and bicycle advocacy groups which will discuss local advocacy programs. I would like to take this opportunity to thank a partial list of sponsors and EXPO attendees including Deer Park Water, Atlanta Cycling, Bicycle South, Zipp Cars, Robek's Smoothies, Atlanta Athletic Club, Red Bull Mobile Energy Team, Southern Bicycle League (SBL), Bike Ride Across Georgia (BRAG), Beautiful Backroads Century, Performance Bicycle, Dick Lane Velodrome, FestiVELO of Charleston, the Running Doctor, Kent Ruby Photography, Max & Irma's, MyCycleCoach.com, Concourse Athletic Club, Fish 104.7 Radio, Roswell Bicycles, Atlanta Bicycle Campaign (ABC), Mona Vie and many others. IMPORTANT! We will also have massages available at the EXPO! Lunch Menu: The Catering will be provided by Dean's Cuisine of Lawrenceville, GA! This is free to all registered participants! Lunch upon ride completion includes Homeade Beef Lasagna, Homemade Vegetarian Lasagna, Spaghetti w/meat sauce, sauteed vegetables, Salad, Peach Cobbler, Lemon Cake, Tea or Lemonade. Lunch served beginning at 11:00 and until all riders completed! Raffle: Bring your checkbook/extra Cash! We have three Raffles going on in conjunction with the Wilson 100. (1) First and foremost, we have the optional Project Adventure Kids (PAK) fund raising raffle with over $2,500 in retail services and merchandise! Photography: Special Thanks this year to Kent Ruby of Kent Photo (www.photoreflect.com). Kent provided the pictures which make up the 35th Annual Wilson T-Shirt Design! The 25 or more faces you will see on your commemorative T-Shirt represented a collaboration between Kent Photo and Go Pro Limited (www.goproltd.com) utilizing new cutting edge print technology! Kent will again be taking pictures at the 2008 Wilson! Arrive early and look for Kent as group and Team photo's will be available before the 8:30 mass start, and are free with an option to purchase on line post-event!
